4 for his last 7 from the FT line? Come one Ray! ;)

I mean shooting 57% from the field and 61% from 3 to start the year is okay but I am concerned that he has lost a step at the free throw stripe.

Anyone else think this guy should just retire now? ;D

Danny should've traded him while he had the chance....

I know one thing.  Ray will be in the gym today putting up hundreds of free throws.  The man has a work ethic second to none.   I can see him playing several more years at a high level.  The guy is incredible.

Yes, Ray Allen's done good.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

[dang], that would have put him at an even 30 for the night too.

Lol but forreal, it's amazing the second best SG in the Conference is 36 years old

And he won't just practice like a normal player that had a bad night at the line, he'll do it his usual OCD way.  I think I read once that when he tries to hit 100 FTs in row they all have to go through the exact same way (i.e. if it even grazes the rim he has to start over).  Perfect practice makes perfect.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Hopefully Ray Allen continues to play at this level.

If we're winning, he's a great asset. If we take a swan dive, or suffer major injury, or whatever, Ray Allen's contract and talent level make him the second most trade-able asset on the team behind Rondo. This kind of performance just fuels that.

It's true.  But even on a losing team, you'd love to have Ray here mentoring the younger guys rather than let him walk for nothing even at his age

Ray Allen feels done until he has a delicious Dunkin Donuts Ice Coffee in the morning. Then he's good to go. :)

Not sure I saw Ray miss two technical free throws in the same month before never mind the same quarter.

That's it send him packing, He's obviously out of shape, too old, and lacking really any skills other than to shoot the rock better than any other man on the planet.

You can't survive long term in this league with one minor talent like that. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I get really nervous when Ray Allen is not shooting the ball. Seems like this year there's been a concentration of dumb passes from him.

That aside, Ray Allen has been awesome.
