Are they pretty even in contract as well ?

How much money is Perk making for 6 ppg & 6 rpg ?

He is making 7 million this season?
And again what Perkins does on the floor doesnt show up in the Stat Sheet. Yes im my opinion he is Worth 7 million, even the fool Kwame Brown is making the same.

What else is he doing outside of the stat sheet that is close to 7/8 Million per ?

Does he sell 1000 season tickets per year as well ?

Listing the stats of Perk and JO and claiming that they're a wash on this roster is ludicrous.  Perk is doing exactly what the 5-1 Thunder need him to do - much up the lane, lead the team defense, add toughness, set picks, etc.  His stats are in line when Perk usually does, with a big bump in FT% early this season.

The Cs are 22nd in the league in FG% defense, while the Thunder is 7th  )Last season OKC was 15th).  If we're going to evaluate Perk, we have to give him his props for what he does bring to the table.  Perk has helped, along with Nazr Mohammed, change the culture of that team, from soft defensively, to tough and competitive defensively.

Can you find "protects the paint" in the stat sheet? If not, start with that.

you also have to remember that Perk intangibly hurt us on offense by not being a threat or commanding attention.  At least you have to guard JO.

BUt I agree that Perk is a MUCH better positional/team defender.

I still don't know how to evaluate the trade, except to say that it probably doesn't really make a difference to the C's.

We didn't lose last year because Perk wasn't on the team, and Perk wasn't going to be a C this year regardless.

Of course, with the Jeff Green situation, it is easy to second guess now
