Trade machine won't let me check it because Gordon and Kaman can't be traded for 2 months, but like I said this would be at the deadline. Salaries match up fairly well, but might have to be tweaked Trade is between Boston, New Orleans, and Toronto.
BOS gets: Eric Gordon
NOH gets: Avery Bradley, E'Twuan Moore, JaJuan Johnson, James Johnson, Leandro Barbosa, Better of Clippers/Celtics 1st rounders in 2012, 2013 Second round pick from Boston via Cleveland
TOR gets: Chris Kaman, Trevor Ariza
Reasoning: Boston and Toronto are mostly obvious. Boston does it to reload quick around Rondo and attract a 2012 FA (Kevin Love, Dwight, Roy Hibbert) and Toronto gets a legitimate post prescense and proven scorer, while keeping their duo of Bargnani/DeRozan together.
The only real downside I see, is that NOH would want more young talent for their star guard. The best the Celtics would be able to do would be Avery, E'Twuan, JaJuan, Both 2012 first rounders. Which isn't a very attractive option to trade out of one of the best drafts in recent history, but is it really better to pass up an opportunity for a proven star then to get two players in the high 20's that would be hitting their primes when Rondo is 31 and spent his best years on a team barely making the playoffs?
EDIT: could follow it up with this trade for a full-blown rebuild:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4y6wxh5We wouldn't have a lot of cap space but would have a solid core of Rondo/Gordon/Green/Smith for 2012-13
