The first two games should be considered "MORAL VICTORIES".
Why?
Game 1 - @NYK
Nothing went our way, and I mean NOTHING. Two phantom technicals in the 4th quarter was the difference between winning and losing this game. Not bad for an old squad without it's best player.
Game 2 - @Heat
Again, nothing went our way. The Heat seemed to hit EVERYTHING early on. This Celtics team showed heart and hustle when it CLAWED its way back into the game in the 3rd and 4th quarters. It was a 3 point game with 1:22 left in the 4th. Again, not bad for an old squad playing arguably the most athletic squad ON THE ROAD. Don't forget that another terrible call ruined this game. Remember Norris Cole sliding/not set and getting that charge call...? Yeah I didn't want to remember it either, but one or two calls not going our way in the 4th is the difference between victory and defeat.
Game 3 - @NO
This should NOT be considered a moral victory. Rondo was lazy, the starters were mailing it in, and Brandon Bass morphed into Big Baby. I suspect we won't see another poor effort like this throughout the remainder of the season. We might suffer another unforeseen loss, but the key word is effort.
