The Pacers are only week at the two position. Would you trade Ray for  Jeff Foster, Psyco T, and the kid Paul george.

I think it's a realistic trade and maube throw in J Johnson for taking Tyler from them.

For the Pacers they would have an great starting five

 Hibbert
 David West
 Danny Grainger
 Ray Allen
 D Collison  George Hill

This team could score the ball. We would have to give up Wilcox, Bass, Or JJ to even out there roster. But I think this team would make some noise in the East.

For the C's two nice young pieces to rebuild. Not great, but good. George has very nice upside but he's not there yet. And Psyco T is rock solid and Boston would love Him.

 Garnett,  J Oneal, J Foster
 Psyco T, B Bass
 Pierce, George
George, 6'10" SG pretty cool, Pietris
 Rondo, Dooling

I think we actually could be better this year as well.

I love PG, it would take a wholeeeee lot more than an aging Ray Allen (+ Bradley and whatever late round draft picks we could scrounge together) to pry him away from Bird. I hear the kid is one of his favorites, and rightfully so.

I think we have a much better chance of getting OJ Mayo, who seems to be in the proverbial doghouse in Memphis. Ray would be a much better fit there, imo.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

Why would they give you Paul George for Ray Allen?

Dont see the pacers doing this George is still young and cheap and full of potential. This teams window for winning is just opening and they can still wait a year for george to continue to develop.

Ray for Foster and George isn't a bad step towards rebuilding.  I'd let them keep Tyler because I would prefer to keep JJJ.  Send them Bradley instead if necessary but I don't see Indy going for this.  As Cfan said, their window is just opening, obtaining Ray is a move only top teams would do to put themselves over the top.

If Ray is traded, it'll be to a top team that needs bench scoring.  Possibly Chicago, SA or maybe Atlanta but I'm not sure what they could send back to balance the salaries that they'd be willing to give up and we'd be willing to take.

Or Tyler H.....I think we'd have to give them a lot more.

There's no way the Pacers give up George + Hansbrough for Ray.  This is one of those deals that ever the most hardcore Ray fan would find tough to pass up from the Celtics end.

Getting Paul George would be worth breaking up this team's run this year if you could keep Rondo in the deal.

He has star potential with his size and skill set and that's something we sorely need. Of course that's why any sort of deal to land him won't happen. I don't think the Pacers are in enough of a win now mode to move him.

I actually think that's an intriguing trade.  I think the Pacers would hessitate to give up George, but Ray might make them a legitimate contender this year.

The smaller pieces might need to be shifted, but I think a deal based around George for Ray could make some sense for both teams, if Indy really wants to win now.

I haven't really even seen Paul George play yet this year, but some one's done a really good job of building up the hype machine on this kid.

I'm not saying he doesn't have potential, but Celtics fans are treating this as if he's the most valuable asset in the league.

Nice work, Bird.

I don't think its Bird.  The kid was just so impressive down the stretch last year, has the ideal body and athleticism for a great NBA SF, and so far this year he has not missed a beat (he is averaging 15 and 5.5 so far).

While he is not the most valuable guy in the league, as far as sleeper prospects go, he is at the top of the list.

Soo the Pacers are going to trade us two recent first round draft picks for a 36 year old SG who can't create his own shot?

Thanks you Celtics 18. How many people have even seen this kid play 10 games. I read the article too that he grew 2 inches this summer and is now 6'10". But please he's not even the next Ray Allen. I doubt he ever makes one All Star team.

Every team I saw so far has been trapping RA. They finally learned to not leave him open.
