Any trade ideas that won't bring ridicule from the masses?

It is pretty clear that if not this year then next we will end up having to start the rebuilding process. As much as I'd like to see it happen, there is no way that we are going to end up signing a big name free agent like Howard or DWilliams or CP3. We are going to have to get back in contention via trades and/or getting lucky in the draft. That being said, is there any way that there are going to be rational trade ideas without the majority of comments ridiculing how bad a trade idea that was and over valuing our own players?

The truth is that we will either have to get rid of talent like Rondo or Ray etc, or we will get nothing in return and after this year only have PP and Rondo signed. I think we need to rip the band aid off and package some expiring talent like Ray, KG, JO with players like Rondo to get back younger talent and draft picks. This team looks really old all of a sudden, and we are only fooling ourselves if we think that PP and Pietrus in the lineup is going to beat the Heat.

I'd love to be able to see some trade ideas and thoughts on here without the majority telling people they are crazy. Its going to have to happen, and it might be fun to actually be able to discuss some possibilities on here.

Until there is a team unhappy with a star or a star unhappy with a team, there is little in terms of the big move out there for the Celtics.

I'm not even sure Memphis does Rondo for Rudy straight up, let alone give us Conley, OJ and a 1st. Pierce doesn't exactly have a ton of value either.

Really depends on how they see Rudy.

Pierce's leadership, defense, and contract 1 yr shorter for Rudy Gay? Maybe I have green blinders on but that passes the smell test for me.

They're getting a legit star PG and a HOF caliber SF both with rings and experience as leaders.

Young teams with young talent aren't going to want our aging superstars unless we're willing to take on terrible contracts.  And that seems quite counterproductive to the rebuilding process.  

Contenders?  Sure.  But what are they going to give us?  They won't part with their top talents and most don't have great young players.  So the most they can offer is mediocre, overpaid role players.  Remember, when trading any of the Big Three, we're going to have to take back near-equal salary.  And there's no sense in taking back 20 million dollars worth of role players.  

It's easy to say, "we need to get something'" however, I've yet to see a proposal that actually could happen.

Pretty much true, which is why your trade is really going to need to be using Rondo.

We could also trade Ray, KG, and JO for a team trying to clear cap space to land a tier one talent.

Although, it'll be a non-starter for most here and probably for Danny too given Pierce's career with the Celtics.
