off topic......but can't the freaking heat win without continual help from the refs? LeBron just got a very questionable and 1 when it was clearly a charge. Now the Heat are up 1 on the Twolves

Refs swallowing the whistles of course in the final seconds...finally called a foul on the Heat as I'm typing this.

No starter with 30 minutes.

O'Neal showing the obituary prepared for him by some may be a bit premature.

Ray still hot.

Baby who? What was Van Gundy and Otis Smith thinking? Brabdon Bass...6th Man of the Year?!?!?!?!?! Maybe!!!!!

Steimsma is going to become a crowd favorite and a regular rotation guy before long. He just does what he's supposed to do and he does it very well. Can you ask more of a rookie undrafted NBDL rookie??

Avery Bradley has no left hand dribble but he played decent defense and showed he knew where to be both offensively and defensively. When his shot starts going down, I think he might be okay.

The four young guys and Pavlovic seemed to play pretty good defense, were just a little late on the rotations but weren't bad there. Offensively, they are inept as a group.

impressions from tonight:
Good
- JO isn't completely washed up.  Let's see if he can do it against better competition
- PP looked very good in his return
- Team defense looked more cohesive with PP in the game.  people seemed to know their roles better for some reason.
- Bass looks amazing.  BBD who?
- With more court time, Steimsma looks like he could be a small contributor in the playoffs.
- KG and Ray looked solid for the game.  KG looked much better this game defensively

Not so good
- Dooling still isn't able to run an offense without Rondo or PP on the floor.
- Sasha was tossing up bricks in the last quarter
- Daniels has got to find a way to score consistently.

I said it in the "rah rah positive" thread. I think they are 10-5 by the time the 15th game is over. Once they get there proper wind going, get everyone going and get the rotations running, this will be a dangerous team that will be able to play all 12 guys without missing too much.

Would love to see that.

Bass has me a little excited.  I love that kind of player.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
Gotta feel good about tonight's game even if it was against the Pistons. Being at home was something we desperately needed. We needed to hear some cheers for our team.

Seeing Pierce back just elevated our entire team and allowed us to do things we haven't so far this year. You can tell he just opens up our options and let's everyone get into their usual role. Almost everybody stepped up too! JO actually made me believe he might just 1/2 way work. I won't say all the way because he still needs good relief and he won't always play this well. But it looked like he felt good tonight, played hard and provided great contributions. In fact, almost the whole team looked like it was feeling like it was starting to get into game shape. Bass is a solid pick up for us. He's everything BBD wasn't. Ray - Still the sweetest shot in the game when he's feeling it. I even thought KG looked better tonight, like he was back into a role he's comfortable with and perhaps in just a bit better game shape. Not all the way back, but a bit better. Rondo used to really worry me when he shot, now I'm actually enjoying it. He could be a complete player if he shoots like he has this season all season.

Lots of if's with us but for once you can see a bit of what it is capable of. If this team gels and we stay away from bad injuries, this team could actully be good. Tonight brought a lot of hope. No, we ain't out of trouble yet, but tonight showed enough optimism to get just a bit excited.
The Celtics aren't quitters. Why should you be? - blind homer
