Well, i believe doc desperatly wants a win here.....to lose now would be death.....but i hope he sees to work one rook in often with the vets in REAL time...gotta season them b4 playoff time.....
Why exactly?

In the playoffs rotations tighten and the experienced guys play more. Its not like Doc is going to be running the rookies out there in the playoffs when the schedule will actually lighten up this year as compared to the cramped regular season.

I think at this point -- up 20 with 4 minutes left -- it's a good time to find the rooks some minutes (and it looks like that's what Doc is going to do).  Getting them as much seasoning as possible helps for three reasons: 1) It helps get the vets some rest; 2) It helps them get comfortable in case they're needed to step in later due to injury; and 3) It helps get them experience, so that next year doesn't look like a second rookie year for them.
Yeah...I know all this but Meadowlark said he wanted them to get seasoning for the playoffs.

That made no sense to me. Getting rookies in during blowouts and so forth and giving the ones that earn the minutes some real time minutes(like Steimsma is doing and getting) is also good. He did that with Baby and Powe when they were young.

But with this team, 11 deep in vets, the rookies won't be needing seasoning for the playoffs. They just need seasoning.

Yay, first win!

I guess the blowout had to do with both the Pistons being mediocre and the C's improving but I will take it.

Most positive things to take from this game : JO's awesome game that will probably boost his confidence and Pierce's comeback where he looked great physically and very "swaggy". The intangibles were intangibles as always (Ray, Bass).

Good night everybody!

i know you said that b4....i saw doc NOT play sheldon williams for 3 months before the playoffs....then no itme thru the whole playoffs...then vs the lakers he REALLY needed him to play.....not even pp would be able to be effective after that layoff...THAT is why you season the guys.,,..at least because you never know when you are gonna need them.
1. Williams wasn't a rookie. That was his fourth year in the league.

2. Wiliams was and still is a stiff. He didn't play well because he's not a good player, not because he was inexperienced or unseasoned. Proof is in the pudding. He's on his 7th team in 6 years.

Good to see Paul back!

Nice game, JO!

Now let's get Pietrus healed and we can do some things.
