Dooling looks like he will be fine on open 3's, but I haven't seen much else scoring with us yet.

Quis did his typical stuff slicing though the lane. Looked good. Sure, Wade made it tough, but he had some of his patented confusing moves in the lane.

Bass is looking like a beast and he continues to have a great jumper.

When we acquired Wilcox and Bass, it was clear that we would have an improved bench offense. The concern was defense. Hopefully being around KG and Doc can help with that.

Dooling is clearly a great shooter and a really solid option as a backup 2, he's going to have to work on running the offense (still early) to spell Rondo as well.

I think it's a little too early (or late, if you consider his career) to declare Dooling a great shooter.  Streaky.

Fair enough, but what's the point of the first two games of the season if not for extreme extrapolation?

A good point here, we have better scorers in this group that in the past. Mainly Bass>BBD and Wilcox is a new player we've not had before (athletic big). Dooling can give us what West gave us plus durability. Add a 3 pt shooter like Peitrus and we have a very nice bench - as pointed out in some recent articles.

I am very concerned about JO and our defense. I'm hoping he can play more and produce more but that 6.3 expiring deal is going to hard not to trade come mid season... Oh look it matches up well with Delamberts new deal...

I wonder if we'll see Stiemer?

Enough of the Bradley project or send him to the D league now. Just give Moore a shot at the back up pg, then make Dooling be the back up sg.  If there's a chance to play the new guys its now, maybe against the Hornets.

So much potential with this bench already if we can use it right. First two games was winnable considering we're missing two key players.

I'm actually pretty high on Dooling. I think he's an effective backup PG that can maintain the offensive flow with Rondo off the floor. However, it should be noted that Dooling has always been a poor shooter. Sure, he's gonna be able to have days like today where he doesn't miss the open shots he gets, but he can't create his own shot or shoot in traffic at all, and he's up and down as a shooter otherwise.

As for the bench as a whole, I am generally satisfied. We are really just an effective backup Center away from a team that can maybe win it all. Whether Wilcox or Steimsma can be that guy is up in the air, but we just need the big bodies to play defense, grab boards and not get in the way offensively.
