I wonder if New York would be better off bringing Amare off the bench as a sixth man when he returns rather than moving right back into the starting lineup.
I suppose there is not much need to bring Amare off the bench if Jeremy Lin isn't going to be available but, if Lin were to play (not 100% but I think he is expected to miss the first round which would make it very unlikely NY survives that series), I like that rotation more for NY than starting Amare. Give Lin and Melo more touches to begin the game and let Amare be more of a focal point when he comes into the sction.
