Carl Landry, Emeka Okafor, Trevor Ariza  For Kevin Garnett.

Why for the Hornets, Full fledge blow it up mode, get rid of two bad contracts in Okador 3 years 12 million and Ariza 3 years 7 million per.

For the C's we get something for Kevin, and were not left with just Rondo when this team is done. I don't think we can lurre big time Free Agents for some reason. So something like this may be the next best option.

Could this team get out of the second round this year.

 J Oneal Okafor Wilcox
 Okafor  Bass  Carl Landry
 Pierce Ariza  C Landry
 R Allen Dooling Pavlovic
 Rondo Dooling

On paper it's not bad actually, prety deep team and you retain some of Kevin's toughness with Okafor.

Ha! Absolutely, c'mon, KG is 35 years old, a shadow of what he once was.  Okafor, Landry, and Ariza are everything the Celtics need: youth, athleticism, length.  I have no idea how you couldn't do this trade.

Trade KG for two bad contracts and a 3rd string SF/PF?

No thanks. I don't care how old KG is, he still brings more to the table than stats. O yeah, and he was an still all-star just last season and it isn't out of the realm of possibility he makes it again this year. He is still a great player.

Let me get this right...we give up KG (and probably picks).  We get this for the next couple of seasons:

This year:

Rondo/Dooling
Ray/Ariza/Quisy
PP/Pietrus/Pavolovic
Bass/Landry/J3
Okafor/JO/Wilcox/Steemer

[not bad, solid and deep]

Next Year

Rondo/Dooling
Ariza/Quisy/Moore
PP/JG/
Bass/Landry/J3
Okafor/Wilcox/Steemer

[not bad, either.  Strong and deep}

Not sure I give up cap space for that roster, though.  ECF out.

how about Danny talks to KG about staying after the contract for a very low price. therefore we get cheap Kg for expensive kg

next years starters

Free Agent #1
KG
PP
Cheap Ray
Rondo

Bench

Free Agent #2
Bass
Pietrus
1st round pick #1
1st round Pick #2
Marquis
Avery
Moore
Johnson

you see, the way it seems we are set up, we will get Ray and Kg back on the cheap, 2 1st round picks, and 2 big free agents. The problem becomes how much we give Ray and KG and how do we keep Bass, Pietrus, and JJJ
