Ah, frustrating loss because of the comeback but we did well without Pierce so it's not that bad.

Well, overall a decent game for the team considering Pierce wasn't there.

Still, this might be indicative of the struggles this season -- you try as hard as you can, but if you're missing guys, you're likely to come up short.

Rondo played well. Bass was amazing. I hate that I got excited during the 3rd quarter because I was already prepared for a loss and now I'm disappointed all over again but...it is what it is.

When it comes down to it, we just didn't have anyone to guard Melo today. Hopefully, Pierce and Pietrus will be ready to go sooner rather than later.

I'm not worried about this loss..not one bit. First game of the season..with Pierce sitting out. Knicks would have been toast if Carmelo or Amare were sitting this out.

KG played 37 minutes today.  That can't continue.  Especially important since the Celtics tried to go to KG late in the game when he was clearly exhausted.

I feel much better about this team after the 2nd half. The fact that they put up 100+ w/o our 2nd best player is something to be happy about.

Pierce and Pietrus should help round out this team as long as Bradley doesn't see the floor ever again.
