Sources say Suns have waived Mickael Pietrus, who has guaranteed salary of $5.3 million this season

Given Pietrus $5.3M salary, you figure he'll go unclaimed on waivers and become unrestricted free agent. Plain waived by Suns, NOT amnesty

I would have wanted him on our team if he didn't have that knee issue.

I always wanted Pietrus....but do you guys think he can still be decent?

In Phoenix his shots seem to not fall and defensively seems he loss a step

Ahhh wasn't aware of a knee injury guess that explains him being waived and not as productive last year

PHX tried to trade him to the Raptors but they didn't want him after his knee did not check out okay during the physicals.

He is injured.  He was initially traded to the raptors and that fell through due to a knee injury.

How bad is the knee what was he diagnosed with? If he doesn't need a procedure and a bit of rest and rehab can get him right I wouldn't mind him

espnsteinline reports the Suns are waving Mickael Pietrus, look for Danny Ainge to call his agent as soon as it's official #celtics

I still want him, knee issue or not.  If he's healthy by March, and he's had the whole season to do walkthrus and meet the guys, he's a great pick-up.

One of the better defensive wings out there and an excellent perimeter shooter (as we should now: he killed us in 2009).
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

I want him. Give him a shot and let's see what he can do. It's a vet. min. deal so it's nothing. I am sure NY will be trying to hit him up.

Also Okur traded to NJ for a 2nd round pick.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
He agreed to a buy out so he can choose what team he goes to. if he didn't think he could play this year wouldn't he have forced phoenix to waive him outright so he could keep all the money owed to him?
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

If he can play I'd rather have him play than Bradley.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I'll take him.
Let Eddy rehab him for 2-3 months and get him ready for the playoffs.
Once guy off the bench we can have guarding Lebron/Wade/Melo/Iggy/Deng/Hamilton.

He'll cost dog meat too.
We got 2 spots, he can take one of em.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

Read that last line again. One more time.

How many vacant roster spots do they have? They signed Steve Novak yesterday or the day before.

#CSNNE.com has learned that Pietrus is leaning "heavily" towards the #Celtics, provided he clears waivers. Story up on the site shortly.
