If Pietrus is relatively healthy and we sign him, then we're all set for the season, he is everything that we need to complete our bench.

Just as long as he doesn't surrender to Dirk Nowitski in like three days and then act all proud later......HA!

Pietrus would be a nice pick up.  He can play either wing spot, which would give us a legit 10 man rotation without having to rely on one of the youngsters or Sasha.

Bench:

Dooling
Daniels
Pietrus
Bass
Wilcox

Bradley, Moore, Sasha, JJ, Stiemsa is not a bad way to round out the deep bench.  Hey, they beat the Toronto Raptors last night.

DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Amazing pick-up if it does come through.  Where were these 3-pointing shooting defensive specialists "heavily favoring" the C's in the 3 post-Posey seasons?
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

That's pretty much a surplus of swing guys if he signs on.  I'd cut Sasha and bring in another Center, which I still think we need.

If he is healthy this is a great signing! If I can have 1 thing for Christmas it's the health of this team for the entire season.

Maybe Ed Lacerte and Dr. McKeon will prevail where Shaolin Monks failed. ;)

Quote
Pietrus traveled to the Shaolin Temple in central China's Henan Province, where he tried "several traditional Chinese medicine therapies, including acupuncture, massage and some unique remedies administered by Shaolin monks," the Chinese site What's In Xiamen reported.

People on this board probably would have crapped all over Jermaine O'Neal if it was reported he visited the same temple over the summer.

Well, it sounds like he might be up to a month away from playing, so even if he signed with Boston, you might get your wish.

Please come true; we don't need another tease this offseason. Let's get it done.

He essentially would do everything Posey did for us in '08 while simultaneously improving the 2 spot, as Marquis could play exclusively there.

Also great for u against Miami, as Pierce, Pietrus, Marquis, and Sasha would all be available to guard him. Having that flexibility would be huge.

We need a SF to back up Pierce who can defend and hit threes, which is exactly what Pietrus is. He's also tough minded and knows his role on the bench.

Exactly. And beggars can't be choosers.

Who else can we get for the minimum that would do what Pietrus does for us?
