Quote
Donny Marshall: I don't think it's off the radar yet to say Rondo is going to be with this team for the entire season. I spoke with an agent earlier in the week who said this thing is still hot. To have people pay attention to Rondo's temperment, to see how he goes and plays, to see if he leaves it all out there....

They're still talking about this, about maybe moving Rondo somewhere out west... in a warm spot.

Gary Tanguay: Have we anticipated the location?

Donny Marshall: I think a lot of people would be surprised.

I like the part where Donny Marshall pretends he has sources.

There really isn't much out west I'd trade for Rondo anyway.
Signed to a 6 year $0 contract with the Celtics Blog forum!

  • Rondo = Good

Haha yeah, although I don't think it's wrong to say that Danny is probably still looking at his options, I don't believe for a moment that Donny has any kind of inside info.

As for some place warm . . . Phoenix anyone?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

hmm...out West and we would be surprised? How would you guys feel about a Rondo for Andrew Bynum deal?

I think the "surprised" part would be people being surprised that Donny Marshall actually guessed right about something.

I just don't buy that some agent -- who has loose enough lips to blab to Donny Marshall -- has the inside scoop on discussions, while the rest of the established, connected media is in the dark.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
You can bet if by March that things are looking real dodgy, then it's very possible he'll get traded.

I would take a combo of Nash + Gortat
or Bynum+picks for Rondo.

Trouble is that people might think Danny is desperate to give the big 3 one last shot at a title and try and send him a thinner piece of pie than normal. I think Danny is too smart and proud for that though.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Some if you guys crack me up.  I got news for you.  Bynum is worth MORE than Rondo.  Potentially a lot more.

Donny is a Celtics Hater.   I wish they would fire him, I can't stand the guy.   They ought to get someone from the Celtic Family who actually played for us.

I listened to Donny & Tanguay. He did say it would be multiple teams involved if the transaction happened. I took it to mean at least three. Don't discount Sacramento. Ainge has always liked Tyreke Evans. And they have some other pieces that could benefit us also.

Rondo for Bynum wouldn't work. We loose a point gaurd, who'd run the team? dooling?

Curry would be the logical choice, but I couldn't see GS giving up Curry unless they want Rondo to play with Ellis...

I am guessing Rondo and parts for Steve Nash and parts.
