Solid signing if they got him to agree to such a short term contract.

Funny, had just read earlier today that Sacto was nearing a deal to resign him.

2 years? I think I might have traded JO and Bradley to get Dalembert for two years in a sign and trade.

They withdrew that offer just before he agreed to sign with Rockets.

Source says the Kings have pulled the offer for free agent center Samuel Dalembert.

Good, didn't want him in Boston. Cares more about rebounding stats than he does about actually playing defense.

It's been great to see GMs sticking to shorter-term deals (on average) this offseason.

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari

Sam Dalembert's 2-year deal w/ Houston pays $7M in '11-12, w/ team option for $7M in '12-13, sources say. If option declined, $1.5M buyout.

Great deal for Houston.  Denver has to be feeling a little silly for giving Nene all that money now, right?

Rockets were rumoured to have offered a very similar deal (big money like Nuggets) to Nene. He was going to get paid one way or another. Nets, Rockets, Nuggets...all wanted to sign him.

Plus, Nene > Dalembert.

Dalembert isn't the best player in the world, but how is he getting paid as much as Kwame Brown in the same offseason?

Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger
Power Forward: Jermaine O'Neal, Bobby Jones, Kiki Vandeweghe

Smashing stuff for Houston. Really rounds out their lineup nicely.

This means two things for the Celtics :
- It'd be harder to get J.Thompson..
- Thabeet might be waived or amnestied, we can get him instead!

Wow, that really is a steal of a deal for Houston.  How did they manage to not pay the premium for the C position that everyone else is?

Thought he was going to be headed to Sac.  Don't they have to spend some money still to meet the miniumum requirement since Hayes was waived?  I wonder what they will do.
