If Davis was enough to get Howard, shouldn't Howard now be happy in Orlando?
Howard was complaining about the fact that the team didn't listen to enough of his suggestions about player acquisitions, and they change that by giving $26M to Glen freakin Davis to make him happy. If this is an example of the suggestions that were ignored it gives you a good glimpse of the tough spot these GMs are in.
I agree with wdleehi, but if this was a suggestion it's a terrible one. I honestly doubt it. It would explain it though (I can't for the life of me understand the logic that traded the better and cheap Bass for Big Baby long term).
I would not be surprised if the Big Baby signing was all on Orlando's management though. They have signed and taken on bad contracts (Hedo, Rashard being particularly awful) and their whole plan of "Lets surround Dwight Howard with guys that can only shoot" to me was idiotic and not a formula for winning Playoff basketball.
If BBD was a Howard suggestion, he doesn't have much sense. Then again his whole complaint of "you don't listen to my roster suggestions" was totally ridiculous, and to me one of the more arrogant statements I've heard out of an athlete. You are not the GM, go play basketball.
Big Baby was no the key to keeping Dwight Howard (to me it sounds completely ridiculous) and it will be evident when he is traded soon.
