I have to admit I agree with him. I have a sinking feeling that Ray Allen will get traded once it is clear we are not in the thick of the title hunt.

I'd hazard a guess that's not far off from his 200-2008 prediction for the Celts.

I still think they'll be a contender if healthy.

The issue is that the condensed schedule is going to be brutal to a veteran laden squad like this so I don't think the regular season record is going to be too steller.  Hence, they'll end up with a lower seed heading into the playoffs.  Not necessarily reflective on the talent on the team but, moreso, the regular season schedule and the approach I assume the coaching staff is going to take in regards to it.

I think absolute best case scenario would be a top 4 seed while a more realistic expectation would be something in the 5-7 range.

Mannix could be right.
But there's a reason the games get played.
I mean, no one thought much of the Pats in Brady's first season, right? In this compressed season following an off-season without training camp, there will be lots of unforeseen injuries to players on lots of teams that could change the balance of things come late spring. Hopefully, the Cs won't be one of those injury plagued teams and will be able to take advantage of the fact that most of the Cs starters have played with each other for years.

Only if one of the big 4 go down or if we choose to rest and coast like in 2010

Whatever. He also thought Dwight Howard would go the Mavericks and that the Thunder would win the title last season. Who cares what he thinks?

Who are the five ahead of Boston? According to Mannix.

Just my guess
Miami
Chicago
New York
Orlando?
Atlanta?

I don't see Orlando, Atlanta or New York being ahead of us barring an injury. If there is an injury I think we trade away any of big 3 and start rebuilding early.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz

Pierce is already hurt. I have no faith that Pierce, Allen and Garnett stay healthy. One of them is going to break down for a long stretch, my money is on Pierce.

6th Seed??...
Seriously? I mean i could understand if we were no better than the 4th seed but 6??
I mean Knicks, Bulls and Heat could easily get a better record than us, but Orlando and Atlanta? You must be kidding me. No way they gon get a better record than us!

Oh i forgot. The Fat Mamba plays for the Magic they gon win the whole thing! And Atlanta doesnt have any PG problems and their bench.. Best i´ve ever seen! Yea.. Good luck with that..

Listened to it, that is correct.  Thinks the Celtics should make a hard move for Joel Pryzbilla as they need a guy like that.  Says JO isn't going to play more than 35 games.  No other options as the veteran minimum guys are no longer going to Boston they are going to places like Miami, NY, etc.

Would rather have Stiemsma than Pryzbilla. Pryzbilla had limited mobility, Stiemsma can bother a lot of shots and is a big target under the basket.
