I think being a 4year player really helped moore...he looks more like a vet out there than a rookie with his poise and decisionmaking

id like to see the backup 2 split between bradley/moore...bradley for his defense and moore for his shooting

He can potentially be a 7th or 8th man and he looks like he's well on his way to being one with the work he put in and his basketball-savvyness.

I'm always worried about how the Celtics manage their young talent. I definitely think Moore is a keeper, but I have a hard time believing Ainge will keep him very long. Luke Harangody and Bill Walker were both excellent young players who we just shipped out. I know most of you don't like Bill Walker, not my problem you ignored him while he was putting up 20 pts and 8 rebs for a while with the Knicks.

Can't we just bring Gerald Green back?

did you see who else was on that knicks team while bill was putting up numbers there?

did you notice how often they actually won?

My guess is that his ceiling as a player would be equivalent to that of Ryan Gomes whom he reminds me of incidentally, not in their positions, but rather in their general comfortable demeanor on the court.

Nobody could possibly know what this kid is going to do in the league.

We do know he's undersized.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I noticed.  I also noticed that a case could be made that he was the worst defender on the Knicks in that period.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
A really nice question to ask would be :

Who has the better chance to be a future scorer/starter, E'Twaun Moore, or Avery Bradley?
I like Marcus Smart

I am not fascinated by our former rookies who have become forgettable NBA journeymen.

It's too early to tell.  While I do not think he is second coming of Sam Jones, he has shown there is a place for him in this league.   Preseason isn't the best gauge of ability.

Walker was given plenty of opportunity and Gody was a bust.

Danny's drafted fairly well in the front court, but I think Moore will prove his 2nd or 3rd best guard pick, after Rondo, with the question being whether he bests TA.

A player that makes the roster after being picked as late as Gody was is not a bust.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon

Honestly people are ridiculous.  If you're not LeBron-esque coming out of the draft as an MVP you're a bust.  And toning down that expectation for the 2nd round, you have to be an All-Star I guess.

Gody is not a bust.  He hasn't gotten a chance and he was totally worth the 2nd round gamble regardless.

Gody is a baller pure and simple. Danny gave him a chance. You have to love that. Same with Moore, he can flat out play the game. Moore has a better chance simply because he can play PG, distribute and hit the outside shot. As long as he is not a defensive liability he will be fine. Moore is giving up a couple inches on the perimeter. Gody was giving up 6" in the paint.

yup, it is WAY too early

...but hey, I need something to pick my mood up :)

Danny does have a great track record with 2nd round picks

its just the late 1st rounders that he's bad at (please break the trend JJJ)
