JJJ ??? why no floor time

Yeah, very telling that JJJ and Sasha are clearly not part of the immediate plans - Doc would rather go with three guards than Sasha and wants some run for his 4-big rotation of JO/Wilcox/KG/Bass.

Sasha is out today with an injury.

Good point, fair enough. The JJJ absence is easier to understand - Bass and Wilcox look good enough for 25 mpg, KG needs 28 and JO takes the last 18. No real room for JJJ in the rotation right now other than here and there.
2023 Historical Draft: Toronto Raptors

Point Guard: Anfernee Hardaway, Fat Lever, Terrell Brandon
Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger
Power Forward: Jermaine O'Neal, Bobby Jones, Kiki Vandeweghe
Center: Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka

agreed, but it's preseason, give him a chance...i'd say 10min is fair enough

Lovin' what I see from Wilcox so far ... sweet.

wilcox looking good.

Wilcox and Bass are great pickups. I gotta get used to the fact that we have two PF/C's off the bench that are not vertically challenged and can finish at the basket.

Yeah, I think we've got a bench this year.
Its nice the best thing KG and JO will benefit the most from it takes a huge load off them. Last year if KG or JO werent in the game we were in instant trouble.

usually, this would be a very good point. but i think this is a different situation since there is so little training camp this year. doc needs to have the regular rotation guys get extra time in during the game.

Thing is they gotta be ready for Christmas not many preseason games to get up to speed if it was a regular schedule sure he'd play

I think Doc wanted to see his rotation at work in the 1st half and we'll see more guys like JJJ, Greg (I'm not gonna bother learning that last name haha), Bradley, Moore, etc get more rub in the second half.

awesome, I just saw Sweetney in the layup line! Maybe we'll get to see him in action in the second half.

You can't tell anything about what Doc is thinking from the first 24 minutes of the first pre-season game.  We may yet see JJJ and Greg Stiemsma in the 2nd half.

I agree with all the posters who like what they see from Wilcox and Bass.  Great to have Marquis back with his "herky-jerky in the paint" moves.

It's more likely to see O'Neal playing closer to 28 minutes, and Bass and Wilcox playing closer to 20.

Okay, what is it that Orlando didn't like about Bass?  Was it his impending free agency?  Because, from what I'm seeing, he adds at least what BBD did.

I think his IQ level didn't match well with Dwight Howard's. Davis's matches much better ;D

He's been sloppy from what I can see. Marquis is playing good. Wish this stream didn't suck.
