"George, who grew 2 inches to 6-10 during the offseason, is putting in the time to make sure his skills progress. One tactic the 21-year-old has adopted is to routinely be one of the first players on the practice court and one of the last ones off it.
Catch and shoot. Pump fake, one dribble, pull up. Launch 3-pointers from the five key spots on the perimeter. Over and over again.
"It's the extra time you put on the court that pays off down the road," said George, who also has added 10 pounds of muscle to his lanky 224-pound frame. "I'm ready to take the next step."" - Indianapolis Star
Man, those Pacers could become a pretty serious team fairly quickly. George is an absolute physical specimen - a 6'10 234 pound shooting guard who is athletic enough to semi-effectively guard Derrick Rose? Jeez. He's got offensive limitations that he's apparently working on but that's something to get excited about in Indy.
Darren Collison, George Hill, Paul George, Brandon Rush, Danny Granger, David West, Tyler Hansbrough, Roy Hibbert and Jeff Foster makes for one of the youngest, balanced, versatile and deepest 9-man rotations in the league come playoff time.
They aren't a contender yet, but this is a Pacers team that I could see pulling an upset in the playoffs, or even working its way into a 5 seed. If the young guns develop anywhere near their potential (Collison, George, Granger, Hibbert), this team could be something special.
