yeah, that's cool, but it's hard to see him playing SG now.  growing that much in a short time is not necessarily a good thing for a player.  for some guys it's really great (e.g. kevin durant, 7 foot small forward).  for others, it's just awkward (donte greene, 6'11'' SG / SF).

Kind of a weird comparison. Donte Greene's 'awkwardness' seems to have a lot less to do with his size or athletic ability and a lot more to do with his bball IQ and questionable motor. Also, did either guy grow two inches in their 2nd-3rd year in the league?

I know LeBron did, but I don't really remember any others. Maybe its just so common nobody talks about it. 

Did LeBron really? I've been saying he's a short 6'10 to my friends and that the 6'8 listing was BS.

Yeah its been confirmed many places he's around 6'8.75 or so without shoes. That puts him right around 6'10.
