Wow, can't believe that the Clips relented and gave up Eric Gordon. That dude is legit. But NOW what do we talk about??? Basketball anyone??

I remember I started a half-serious topic asking whether the Clippers would win a championship before the Lakers. Guess I should have bet some money?

If you think they will win a championship with this team, you are new to the NBA.

The Lakers screwed themselves big time trying to get CP3. The Clippers at least have a core to build around. Let's hope the Lakers continue tanking and never get Howard.

I wonder with the loss of Odom, a strikeout to a Paul trade and possible strikeout with a Howard trade, if Kobe will cry and demand a trade at somepoint if they have a subpar season. Bynum is already missing the first 5 games and I imagine they won't get off to a strong start.

Don't worry, they will get lucky and some Chris Wallace-type GM will gift wrap an All-Star for them.

I think they will the veteran teams I think will start off good...they stil have Kobe, Pau, Artest, Fish they all are familiar with each other. It's been a lot of drama going on w/ them though so who knows I wouldn't mind a crap start. lol

Soo, how do we get Eric Gordon?
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Congrats to league for turning out to be expert GMs. Isn't the best case getting a deal that was originally unpalatable to the other team involved? They called the bluff and won. I stand corrected in my criticism.

So the Clippers keep Bledsoe and Billups and add Paul? Are they a super powered timberwolves now?

maybe they are planning on trading Bledsoe to get another piece to add to CP3 and Griffin?

This would be the smartest manuever on their part...

I think the Hornets were much better off with the Lakers/Rockets deal.

I don't know, I think the hornets made out like bandits in this deal, they took half the clippers team and a top 5 draft pick in one of the best drafts in ages.

The Hornets should strongly consider trading Eric Gordon. Not a franchise player, a third wheel ... and about to demand a huge contract.

They should see what is out there for him. See if they can find anything better for their rebuilding.

This deal is much better for their future. Martin/Scola/Odom would've helped them win games right now. The problem with that is that they wouldn't be good enough to win anything meaningful, but would be too good to get into the draft lottery to get young guys & reload.

This was the smarter move for them.
