the jeff green 'injury' has me curious.. he's still not officially signed with the celtics so maybe DA is still pushing for a trade for CP3.. and since the clippers don't want to give up too much for Paul i'm feeling this would end up in a 3-way deal:
BOS get CP3, Okafor/Kaman?
NO get Gordon, Aminu, Bledsoe/minny pick, JO, Boston's picks
LAC get Rondo, Ariza, Green/Bradley

Celtics get CP3 and a center
Hornets get the youth and a sh*t load of picks that they want plus JO's expiring
Clippers lose out on Paul but get Rondo - not bad!

Just a hunch..

and the freaking saga continues.....

ESPN sources: Lakers continue to express serious interest in Paul, w/package built around Pau, but search for third team on to supply youth

Minnesota and Kevin Love?  I know people on this board will disagree with me, but I don't think he has the talent to build a contending team around.  I even think him being the 2nd best player on a contender is a stretch for any point in his career.   But his stock is at it's highest selling point right now.

Even though I don't find Love a building piece (similarly to how I felt about Big Al when he was here), I still think this would be a terrible trade idea for Minnesota.  BUT, if they hear the phrase "I bet Rubio would love to play with fellow spaniard Pau Gasol"... they might just be stupid enough to pull the trigger.

Unload Martell Webster's expiring contract (team option next season) to NO, and Ridnour's contract (as an unnecessary and overpaid 3rd string PG) to NO who will need another PG now, have LAL send a draft pick to Minny, and I think it's very worth it for LAL and NO.  The only question remaining is if Minnesota would do it.  They'd really appeal to the Spanish population in Minnesota!  :)

O goodness what fun it would be to watch Rondo with Blake and Jordan. *wipes drool*

Trade does make sense for all teams though, but Boston the least. JO, all things considered, is better for the C's than whichever overpaid C they get. So it's CP3 for Rondo/Green/AB/Clippers pick (looking less and less likely to be a lottery pick, may even be in the low 20's)...ehhhh... If CP3 opted in, I'd do it.

Great deal for Boston.  Good deal for NO (sound like what they want from LAC).  I don't think LAC likes it.  If they are reportedly hesitant to give up essentially that same package for CP, why are they giving it all up for Rondo and throw ins?  Even more of a head scratcher for LAC considering the Billups signing and now they'd be without a SG.  Yeah, this is a no-go for LAC by a mile.

What i meant was Gordon or bledsoe and/or wolves' pick, not all three.. LAC still have Foye and Mo so they're still loaded at the guard position..

I am unwilling to risk an Odom situation if we have a proposal rejected by the league.

I don't at this point not interested. I am interested in seeing how an angry fired up Rondo will lead this team.
