  • Another undersized Celtic...
Now that the dust has settled and it appears Danny is still engaging NO, do we still pull the trigger on this trade? I don't even know how it would be possible anymore, but the more I thought about it over the past week, the more I feel CP3 by himself isn't the going to pave the road to a championship. His unwillingness to re-sign really doesn't bother me, because we'd have over 25Mil in cap space(I think?), but his bone-on-bone situation is too scary, ala Brandon Roy to consider for a 4 yr contract. BUT, the Rondo-psyche is also a concern, because as much as I love watching him and admire his fire, he's a mental midget at the worst times. Where are you guys at on this?

no
big no if there would be no extension
i'm for rondo who can dominate like few, if he ends up as good as he can be there won't be much comparison between paul & rondo
if they stay as is, rondo isn't as good but close enough and in crunch time i want rondo he'll do whatever it takes
guy is still young and has some of the best celtics highlights and numbers EVER

The fact that CP3 is willing to go to the Clippers for 2 years and not the Celts for one is proof he's not a  true winner.

I would take him, but he's not coming here so it's moot.

did you see the roster the clippers would have with chris paul?

i can't blame any player for wanting to play with blake griffin for the prime of their career.

The Clips are ready to make the playoffs without Paul...

With CP3 they are a top 4 team in the west...book it!

What do they have left to offer? Pau is not much imo, and they have no good picks or young talent. What team with young talent and picks would trade those assets for an aging Pau Gasol coming off a poor season?

I got it! This is why they signed Gerald Green, he's the young talent they will package with Pau ;D

Honestly no.. I kinda wanted him but now this is a going overboard and I do Love Rondo. All in all he has his problems shooting but I'll take him just right up there against any PG. So here's to Rondo having a great year. Also Calapari and now Pierce have said he could have a MVP like year so should be interesting. I mean I think he could AVG. 20PPG if he hit his free throws so maybe that is something he has improved? who knows
