Arenas no
Billups yes
, but for now we can only offer him the 3 mio MLE.

Agreed, but we can't even offer Billups that, under the cap teams will be able to bid him off waivers. There's no possibility we can acquire Billups in free-agency.
Why would any of those teams agree to pay his contract? Who do you think would claim that contract off of waivers? He is overpaid at this point in his career.

You don't just claim exclusive rights to him. You claim his old contract. He should clear waivers and end up in LA or MIA. His being waived and the veto of the Paul trade could end up making LA better this year for less money (since they got relief from the Odom contract).

Id be absolutely for signing Chauncey and using Rondo to get West or another very good big if its at all possible. I realize Paul, West, and all are slipping away. I just think we need to be all in this year. We still would have ample cap room next year. This also keeps Chauncey away from LA or Miami. No matter what we do, Mia will probably be better if they get Chauncey.

Billups
Ray
PP
West or equivalent
KG

That is quite possibly a chamionship team this year with the depth we have added. You might still have JO as little help as that might be.  OK, Billups plays 2-3 more years or so but he isn't washed up now. We don't lose any of the youngest guys or future picks. We might even get more than just one guy for Rondo. Your basically making a move to give yourself a GREAT shot to win it all now and maybe even next year, and sacrificing Rondo future beyond next year to do it.

Nope.

Billups was amnestied.

Teams under the cap can bid on him with offers to pay a part of his salary. If a team under the cap offers $1 million and no other bids anything, he'll be on that team. He'll still get his $14 million salary (paid by NY) and that $1 million would go to the Knicks.

Bill ups is a nice option for short money.  Might offer some insight into the Knicks .

i wish we can get Billups, but pretty sure he'll end up somewhere else, and scared he might go to the Heat

Id take either of them to be honest. But it would make the Dooling deal a little unneccesary.

I'm not sure Dooling will prove to be more of a contributor than Von Wafer was.  Veteran guy that's nice to have on the bench, but not necessarily someone who's part of the main rotation.  If you could get Billups, you'd absolutely do it.

Dooling would still be a nice pickup, because he is a very good defender, who can cover the 1 or the 2.  But I do think they could stand to add some more offensive punch off the bench.

1. how much money will they ask?
2. is there posibillity to sign them?
3. can they help the team?

Arenas is garbage, absolutely no

Billups would be great except he would never come to be a back up see link: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-wojnarowski_billups_amnesty_waiver_121011

Thanks for the detail. Those are actually pretty smart rules. Good job NBA.

If Arenas still has any desire at all for bball, then he will be back in game shape like he used to be.  He was a little overweight last year.  He really never had any lift, but enough quick jumping ability to get fouled and hang.  He is now a crafty player creating his own shots.  Whether this will benefit any contending, it remains to be seen.

My thing with Arenas is if he has any motivation for greatness (even though obviously he will never be any more).  Does he still aim high, to fall into an area that would help the team out.

He is a good ball handler and would provide some scoring off the bench, but defensively he is below average and may be the worst in the league if he has to guard point guards.

arenas is a lazy sob
With a gun issue. I'd rather have that angry Cincinnati kid that threw those punches.
