Can anyone think of a good reason why LA would just give Odom away to Dallas, one of the biggest threats to them in the conference? He was under a good contract so they're not likely to replace him with anyone of better or even equal value off the market. He also would've been valuable as a trade chip for Howard or Paul or whoever they want.

He tweeted, that he didnt even get a phone call when he was originally being traded to NO.  Then he walked out of practice after meeting with Kupchak.  Its possible, that he didnt really want to be there anymore regardless.

Oh well West is not going to make or break us this year.

Now if landing West helps us bring along his buddy CP3 then were talking.

A. Sherrod Blakely @PosImpos I think the #Celtics are prepared to go with a lineup that does not include a true, back-to-the-basket center.

im not sure that showing up in sherrod's twitter feed makes me famous.  ive gotten him to respond to a couple of my tweets.

i think being RT'd by matt moore (HPbasketball) earlier today got me greater exposure.

As free-agent forward David West and the Boston Celtics work to complete a difficult sign-and-trade deal, the Indiana Pacers have positioned themselves to sign the power forward should talks with the Celtics flatline on Sunday, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The Celtics have been discussing a four-year deal with West, sources said. Still, Boston is limited under sign-and-trade rules with how high it can go with an offer. The Celtics can offer the first three years in the $24 million to $25 million range, but the fourth year would likely not be fully guaranteed.

Several sources believed there would be a resolution Sunday.

Indiana has been discussing a two-year deal with West but with a higher annual salary, sources said. The Pacers have cap space to sign West outright, while Boston, which is over the salary cap, needs the sign-and-trade scenario to acquire him.

Comes down to the wire for what?  What the crap are they talking about.  Lol ... I thought the only holdup was awaiting the CP3 to LA trade to go through before the league could approve the David West to Boston thing.

There seems to be something we don't know... I just want the season to start, this whole Blitz-Free-Agency thing's got me dizzy.

I didnt think of that, it must be that we have to find a 3rd team to take on JO's contract

but you have to imagine that if West wants to come to the celtics, theyll find that 3rd team. hes a Free agent its in the Hornets best interest to get something for him
