What serviceable center can we possibly get for the mini-MLE?  Anyone have any good ideas? Because KG simply can't do it long-term.

I would really like Kurt Thomas. Tough and gritty vet who can hit the open jumper.

KG's going to be the center, but I imagine Aaron Gray will get an offer to stand in as emergency beef.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Would love Kurt Thomas but he may be gonig elsewhere (Chicago?).

KG can't be our starting center.

NO buys out JO and he resigns with the C's.

I mentioned it in other thread but JO can't rejoin us under these circumstances. He'll go to the Heat or Lakers.

I would like Kwame, but I would start KG and West against most teams. I would certainly start them in the playoffs, too much offensive fire power to not start both of them.
KG can handle most NBA centers for the first 10 mins of each half and the last 5.

There's just too much opportunity there for Rondo to work with for them to not start both KG and West.

Thanks for settingme straight on JO.  I do think the team needs another center, a 7-footer (6'11" or more) with veteran experience.

Yeah I agree, another big, monstrous body that isn't overly injury prone would be great.
So here's the hypothetical...
Spend the rest of our money on Rip Hamilton, or a 7 foot monster ?
Seems like Danny is simply going to follow the lead he's taken and just go for the best available player.

I'd wait for whoever is left from amnesty(Billups!).  If they get West is there really a need to use it?  As long as they keep Green they have a decent rotation.

Rondo/Dooling/Bradley
Ray/Marquis/Moore
PP/Green
West/Bass/JJ
KG/Wilcox/Stiesma

I guess a seven footer wouldn't hurt, but I don't see anyone left that's going to be a starter.

But I guess from who is left I'd want Dampier or DJ Mbenga.
