So, you think David Stern vetoes this trade?  :o
I don't think so.

It looks like Jeff Green fits the parameters of what the league is looking for in a deal. Young talent who can offer the team a brighter future.

But ya back to the question at center if JO is involved in this s+t...

The sad fact is that we couldn't rely on JO as our center.  I mean, we may as well sign Shaq; he's about equally reliable.

I feel confident that whatever free agent we get is going to play more games next year than Jermaine, as sad as that is.  I'm a big fan of his, but he's just not a reliable option.

Ya I'm not saying I'll miss JO by any means, Just wondering/waiting for the answer at the center

Wouldn't be surprised to see him waived, then re-sign back in Boston.

So we still have the mini-MLE to find a quality center to round out the rotation. Cool.

Yeah, but if it's something like JO + Bradley, rather than Green, it looks worse.

At the same time, it's a sign-and-trade.  Those tend to be garbage deals.

And an exception from the Davis trade, no?

Hollinger hates Jeff Green because Green struggled so much at PF while at OKC.

Too much focus on his stats. Not enough on the talent / skill-set (that J.Green could be a valuable player if used in a different role).

Edit: Ignore, got confused. Forgot it was Jermaine and not J.Green in the trade.

I think we're all forgetting the big news of the day:

Von Wafer signs a 3 year deal with the Magic.

I'm inconsolable..

Von Wafer? three years? lol wow.

So much information going on. Can't even process this all right now.

Can't do it any more; the league closed that loophole.  The earliest JO can sign with us again is July 1.

its going to be Green and JO for West and Celts will sign Rip.

Doubt it. That'd be us bidding against ourselves.
Oh ye of little faith.  Green is as good as gone.

I wouldn't be so sure we still need to sign a center at this point . . . unless there are more dominoes to fall, having KG / West / Bass / Wilcox is way too many guys for just the power forward rotation.  One or all of those guys will play significant minutes at center, and one of them will probably start.  There's also JJJ, assuming he isn't part of the trade.

Also, we'll need to fill a roster spot with a capable wing backup (jason richardson or rip is my guess) if green is part of the west trade.

I've read the last two years are not guaranteed.

Oh right, sorry, got confused in all the mayhem.

Yeah, awful trade. The league should veto that. Unless the C's part with the Clippers pick.

  • Yup
This has been the craziest day and a bit of NBA news.
I like this signing. Am worried we don't have a center unless we are playing KG and Wilcox there.

They should condense the NBA off-season into two weeks every year.
Yeah, this is great. I love it!

Non-stop news / excitement.

it's like a fantasy draft
