this is a guy who is pretty stubborn and has alot of pride. he frequently calls himself the best PG in the nba and seems to dislike CP3.

you have to think it stings him to hear that the Celtics wanted to trade him for Paul...and all the commentary around the league about Rondo's flaws.

I have a feeeling its going to come out with a chip on his shoulder..and want to prove something..which could be good.

now, I know he moped around last year when perk was traded...but this is different. he hates CP3 I dont think he wants to prove danny/doc right..

It did before. its ainges job to make moves he feels is the right one. this will do nothing to rondo but make him better. hes ticked off at ainge and no one else. he still has the team that was there from day one around him if anything hes excited

no.  im still hoping DA trades rondo prior to the season.  there's no way this will end well for the celtics if they hold onto rondo.

Yeah, I hope he sneaks in at midnight and trashes Ainge's front yard. ;D

the kid is a competitor you gotta think hes angry, its not his first go around with trade rumors. (although the most serious)

Doc (and the players) need to find a way to tell Rondo he's not playing for Danny, he's playing with them.

Might the year to take the reigns off of Rondo and put the ball in his hands even more. Our old guys need the rest and we somehow need to convince him that this is his team now.

Yeah, take the reigns off Rondo. Can't wait for those games where he's forced into shooting 10 jumpers and 10 free throws per contest.

Rondo is p---ed, he'll come in p---ed, and when the season's over he'll probably still be p---ed, but all this will be with Danny Ainge not his teammates. Once he gets in KG, Ray, and Truth will reassure him(whether he needs to be or not) how much they need him and how as he goes the team goes. When the ball goes up for real Rondo will be ready to go.

no. rondo'a worst attribute is he is a head case. he will pout and sulk like he did when we traded perk. we are stuck with him

I'm sure he'll be motivated, but I don't think motivation will improve his shooting.

Yeah, there's no way Rondo could ever lead a team to the NBA Finals, or that he could ever come alive in the playoffs and carry an elderly injury prone team. Nope, that's never happened at all.

(Now you're going to respond with completely unsubstantiated mutterings about how you can't build around Rondo, even though there isn't a lot of evidence to back that up. Yeah, he's not a perfect player. Get over it, already. Championship contenders have been built around worse point guards.)
