Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom for Chris Paul is a bad trade for the Lakers. Now hear me out. Alot of ppl thinks its a bad trade for the Hornets but I dont think so. Heres why:
Kobe Bryant is getting older and has alot of miles on that body
Andrew Bynum knees could go at anytime
Ron Artest is a ticking timebomb
Who is going to play PF and the bench is very weak
Plus if we get Paul, it just a one year deal and he is out. I dont want that b/c then we wont have a PG for 202-13
So if the Lakers get Paul, I dont think it will put them over the top
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Bynum will be moved for Howard. It's inevitable now.

our only hope is that the lakers hit a stretch of bad luck with injuries . . . when have the lakers ever had bad luck?

Unfortunately, I agree. I guess the Lakers didn't want to wait for Orlando, who weren't planning on sending off Howard, and miss out on CP3.

Yep...it never ends....the LAkers have the best players year after year , and IF one player comes along better , then they just dump players better than 90% of the teams have and get the one person they want.

Well my prediction from last year is comming true , they got Paul and now they will get Dwight next year and Boston fans can just pack it in for another 10 years.

This might make me a HEAT fan...

no way that bunch of losers in Orlando keeps Dwight.......they might as well send him now and get it over with

I'm betting that Kobe didn't sign off on this. They are apparently letting a very skilled big go to NOH, and the reigning 6th man of the year.

They may have a nice backcourt, but Bynum is not a world-beater, and has to go through OKC's bigs, MEM's bigs, and DAL - all without Pau, apparently.

Unless they can somehow flip Bynum for Howard, I'm not sure this is such a great trade for LA.  Outside of Bynum, they're now a pretty small team and he's never averaged more than 30.4 minutes a game and the last 4 seasons Bynum has played 35, 50, 65 and 54 games.

Unless Bynum suddenly turns into Mr. Durable, the Lakers are going to be consistently outsized and weak defensively and on the boards.

We are done...Howard will be a Laker, we can only hope it will not be this year but next year he certainly will be in purple and gold.

But those salaries don't match, and who else does L.A. have that Orlando would want?

Agreed.

If they get Howard, this is a tremendous move for them.

If not,  still a contender, but not a favorite.
