Delusional Celtics fans.

Lakers get a superstar nuff said.

the next trade will be Bynum4Dwight

I will be absolutely shocked if ORL does a straight-up trade of DH for Bynum.

If THAT happens, then you can place me on the bus that believes the NBA is rigged, lol..

LA had better come with more than that.

LA will get Howard , they always get anyone they need......Bynum willend up on Bobcats or NJ or some such and amount to nothing. While Dwight goes to LA

So after this season, might as well get use to seeing HEAT and LAKERS every year for next 6-8 years .

Great trade for Hornets. They get Odom, Scolia, and Martin..Pretty good. If Lakers trade Bynum to Magic, probably a 3rd team have to be involved. Or Howard waits till next summer and sign with Lakers, then trade Bynum for other parts. But i still think its a bad trade right now for Lakers. No bigs except for Bynum and no bench
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

If that happens, sure they will have made out.

But right now they don't really have a great team. Oh, they are top 3-4 in the west, sure but they now have no big men depth.

They have two Elite guards, both of whom have knee issues.

They have an inconsistent SF who struggles to score at times.

They have....a sack of potatos at PF i guess?

and they have a center who is good when he's motivated, but struggles with injuries.

And there bench is now led by...Luke walton everybody! give luke a hand, he's scrappy!

also, they now have a ball dominating PG who needs the ball in his hand to be effective...and a super star who invented a phrase called "kobe time" for dominating the ball when he feels it's needed.

I don't think either one of them is going to develop into an off the ball scorer, so i can see them being a smaller, not as good, more injury prone version of lebron and wade who struggle to complement each other.

if they land DH12 then sure, they are awesome. but that's not happening for bynum straight up....unless th eNBA is just rigged :D

So its a good trade when we give up 2 firsts, Jeff Green, Rondo and who knows what else...and its bad when the Lakers do it?

boston wasn't parting with their entire front line like the lakers are...they have zero off the bench and they have no small forward at all

Pau gasol and lamar odom >>>>>>>> rajon and Jeff green

and it's not close. Jeff green in particular is not deserving of being mentioned with the other 3.

and the picks aren't super valuable because a team with CP3, ray, paul and KG is probley not going to finish in a spot where next years pick is a bonus.

This trade is as much about Dwight Howard as is it about Chris Paul.
agree 100%. that the reason Danny wanted him so much.
chris paul brings you DH next year.

Sour grapes.

We lost the player we were after to our evergreen rival...time to move on and explore other trades to improve our team.

LA won't win next year but they are definitely going after Howard. Oh well, We'll find a better way to win. CP3 can go screw himself.

It doesnt make any sense to say the Lakers lost this trade, when they basically pulled off the 1st half of the master plan WE had (trade for CP3, sign D12).  Who cares who their PF is?  It easy enough to find a workable PF in the draft of vet minimum bin.  You cant just find elite point guards.

Now when D12 is a free agent, he not only sees LA as his preferred city...he also sees it as the team with the leagues best PG, and one of the 3 top shooting guards.  There was a thread up saying if you switched lebron straight up for D12, that team would win consistent championships.  Well...I'd take CP3, Kobe and D12 over Bosh, wade, and D12 every day.  Whoever thinks that team is going to have trouble attracting a skilled veteran PF to play for cheap is crazy.

That's what I say.

Season isn't over by a long shot.

I don't see how this will ensure that LA wins the championship next year anymore than MIA's trainwreck from June.

Superstar teamups that produce championships only happen in Boston.

MIA and NY failed. Now LA is trying it. I'm believing that they'll fail, too.

Well....The Ray Allen trade looked bad when we made it...Until the next trade happened.

Bynum and whatever for Howard is probably next.  Then depending on Paul's health and if they can find some frontline scoring...The Paul trade would look pretty good.

Being the Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. I am, I don't want LA to ever pass us as the alltime leader in championships. But with Howard and CP3 I think it might happen.
