Haha.  My guess is that once you saw him for extended minutes, rather than through the opium visions of a CelticsBlog Draft addict, you would change your mind.

As a third center, though, sure, why not?  We just need to find a starter for when JO goes down.

I used to have high hopes to Fesenko - he's very quick and mobile for a guy of his size. He had the potential to be a very good defensive player. Alas, he hasn't progressed as he should - he's very lazy and a bona fides party animal. Great guy to be around, very, very funny, but he simply doesnt' care about basketball so much.

He had a nasty knee injury in the Eurobasket and a couple of weeks ago was still in rehabilitation. He should be ready to start practicing about now. He wasn't sure he was keen on staying in the NBA.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Fesenko is absolutely horrible.
I would rather stick Shaq out there on one leg.
He really is a pathetic basketball player.
If we had to rely on this bum then we are in deep Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.. I don't even think he should be in the NBA- he's that bad.
I remember when he was starting for them when Okur was injured- I watched so many games with this clown fumbling and bumbling wide open looks while Deron Williams shook his head down the court.
Some advice for the Celtics management. If you want to run CP3 straight out of town then sign this guy!
So painful!
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

As a third center, though, sure, why not?  We just need to find a starter for when JO goes down.

Who else are we going to get, though?  We're priced out of the race for even mediocre centers like Brown and Dalembert.

Also, we don't need a superstar at the center position, just some one who's big, can run up and down the court, and play a little defense.

I remember last off-season when almost everyone was hypothesizing that Semih Erden should never be allowed to step on an NBA floor, but the kid showed the ability to fill his role for this team for large portions of the regular season, and, by playoff time, a lot of us were wishing we still had him on the squad.

If this kid can stay healthy, I'm all in.

DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

We don't even need him to run up and down the court. We just need a 39-year-old Shaq replacement minus the injuries. i.e. a big body. Rondo spoon fed Shaq and Shaq was well on his way to a career year.

I wouldn't mind him as our 3rd center. He can deliver hard hits when needed.

If you're considering Jermaine O'Neal one of our centers....Then what you're saying is that you wouldn't mind him as our backup center or starter?  Or are you thinking Danny should have 3 centers plus O'Neal on the roster?

Because we're a lot less likely to get as many games this season as we got out of O'Neal last.

Even a 39 year old, 400 pound Shaq is about 30 times more talented than Fesenko.  If he could offer more than 2 points and 2 boards, he would have already been doing so in Utah.

Are you suggesting Fesenko as our starting center, or as a key rotation guy?  If he's as capable as you suggest, why has he been confined to around 8 minutes per game in Utah (a team that needed a center, and just drafted one)?

The guy is a stiff.  Stiffs have a place in the league, but generally it's on the third string, not as a guy you rely upon.
