"Another name to keep an eye on between now and the start of training camp for the #Celtics - former #Jazz center (7-1, 280) Kyrylo Fesenko." - A. Sherrod Blakely

Sounds good to me, I've been hoping for Fesenko as a vet min option so I'm all for this. 7'1 280 and not afraid to do the dirty work, sign me up!

I don't know if Blakely's report means the Celts are interested in him.  Rather, Blakely is just pointing out that he's a guy to "keep an eye on" because he fits what the Celtics need:  6'10" or taller with a pulse.

Honestly, I think Potapenko was quite a bit better.

I wouldn't mind him as our 3rd center. He can deliver hard hits when needed.

We are talking about a 3rd stringer..someone who will see only garbage minutes.

at least he gives hard fouls lol, this is about the best we can do for a 3rd string center, but still want Kwame or Gray ahead of him

Are we in the stone age still?

Blocks =/= defense.

Overall, Fesenko allowed .71 points per possession. He's not the greatest deep post defender, but he's far from a scrub in that regard.

Agreed... But I don't think slow, immobile big men provide much more than a few fouls.  I'd like to think there are some guys out there that have a bit more ability to them.  I also remember that other goober we had here: Ruben Wolkowyski :)
