wow he still prefers the Lakers and he would rather play with GSW or LAC then in Boston smh
well, Rondo did practice w/ Ray Allen today hopefully Ray had a good talk with him and Rondo's mindset is "lets roll" and is out to prove something. he might feel different with danny and doc to an extent but he shouldnt take it out on his teammates and hopefully gets over it quick.
And here we go...psyched to be posting here by the way.
Not a big fan of trading Rondo, Green, a combination of JJ/AB, and picks all for a player that does not want to be here.
My stance if why do we automatically get better with CP3 and have more of a chance than with Rondo? I understand the shoot ing, which would change the dynamic of our team. Still does not guarantee anything. Keep in mind that Rondo does and has shown the ability to do everything else at an elite level. Passing/Decision making/Playcalling/rebounding/defence. That should mean something when he has done it in not only the regular season, but the playoffs as well. Remember that chemistry is going to be even more important in a shortened season. This is how I look at it, come playoff time is CP3 going to have more of an impact than Rondo+Green+few other pieces? Call me a homer but I do not see it.
The biggest concern moving forward to me is the health of KG. We can add CP3 in place of Rondo, but with KG not at 100% we have no chance. We need to rely on the young pups this year. Do not think Doc has much of a choice and we will see quite a bit of AB/JJ/Green and maybe even new Twan. I still don’t see how having Rondo holds us back this year considering what he has shown us the past few post seasons.
Another important reason why I prefer Rondo moving forward is his contract gives us more wiggle room. Having to pay Rondo only $11 million a year enables us to afford more and surround him with complimentary players. I would consider Rondo appealing to play with based on his style of play and would think players would love to come here.
If Rondo is traded I will eventually get over it and will continue to root for my team as I have for 25 years+. I just do not think the trade will be as beneficial as most do.
