Bird is such a complicated guy to me. Grew up with nothing and his father killed himself, but then he also barely acknowledged his daughter for a very long time.

He's exhibit A to me in the "You don't really know your favorite athlete" department.

It's just that I wish my favorite players could be good guys too.
