Celts want CP3. Hornets do not want RRondo. We need a third team.

Larry Legend can help us get CP3.

Indiana gets: Rondo

NOH gets:Hibbert, George, Collison and Glen Davis

Cs get: CP3

It works in Trade machine with JO substituted for a S&T Glen Davis, since salaries will be close and can't do S&Ts with Trade Machine.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7cvdpj5

Hornets get a lot of youth which they want at 4 different positions.

Maybe we have to give Ind our first round pick this year, not Clips pick.
No chance on Indy's part. they'll only give 2 of the 3, maybe hansborough as well and NO sends them West in an S&T.

rondo is getting shopped big time...going to have to repair some fences if he stays

It almost seems like this is intentional, like the Celtics brass must know something about Rondo that we don't, and aren't concerned about this.  Yeah, Danny might "love" Rondo, but he will ultimately weigh improving his team vs. the feelings of his players, so it seems.

Yeah, this is what's worrying me in this situation. I understand Ainge has to explore possibilities to improve the team but it seems he doesn't understand (or care) about chemistry while Rondo is really well-known for being an emotional guy who responds poorly to trade rumors or trades in general.

Wow.  I would think Rondo would have more value around the league.  Back-to-back all-star, cost-controlled for four years...  oh well.  I'll be happy to keep him if no one else wants him.

Rondo can't shoot and not every team in the league has three All Stars to put him next too.

CP3 willsign for ONE YEAR.  He might give the C's one year and one chance to bring Dwight to Boston...........but CP3 is our only shot in the dark to get Dwight .....we gotta take it.....

I'm game for this.......otherwise its years of just making the playoffs *maybe) and watching LA win three or more with Howard. sounds like too much to bare for me.

Danny ...GO FOR IT....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shoot if they sign Nene they don't need Hibbert. Bird is in Denver talking to him.

  • Rondo = Good
at this point, it's hard to see rondo with the team beyond this season whether or not we successfully trade for CP3.

I agree. I think he's gone after this year regardless.

I just don't think he can do it after the big three are gone. I mean who is going to score on our team when they are gone? Rondo, Green, BBD? That's just not their games and without scorers around Rondo he loses a lot of value.

Indy thinks Nene is more a PF than a C.

They want to put Hibbert and Nene alongside one another. Hibbert even acted as recruiter in the summer trying to talk Nene into coming to Indiana to play alongside him.

Side note - I read an interesting article on Hibbert this morning ... Hibbert also spent part of the summer training with Tim Duncan. Mainly working on his face up game and bank shot. So hopefully we'll see some more out of him this season. Also added 10lbs of muscle.

Not surprising, GSW adores shooters.

Rondo's trade value will be mixed throughout the league. Some teams will focus his strengths and be head over heels in love with him. Others will focus on his weaknesses (especially his shooting) and be repulsed (read: unwilling to part with star level talent for him).

I wouldn't read too much into New Orleans or Golden State not being interested in those reported trade offers. There will be other teams that regard Rondo highly (read: top five PG on a bargain contract).

Not to mention, if Danny's initiating the trade talks, it makes sense for the other teams to try and drive up the price.
