Only problem with Chris Paul coming here is... he can't be called CP3 anymore! Since he can't wear #3, I wonder what jersey # he'd wear (I suppose he woudn't choose 9, yes?).. And what'd we call him then? ... I'm thinking he'd wear #30 and we'd call him CP30! haha.. any other suggestions?

This could be Danny's logic... Next year the Big 3 agree to take huge paycuts thus providing CP3 and Howard the ultimate supporting cast... that's how you lure 2 stud free agents. 

Basically you give CP3 the keys to the kingdom, "YOU ARE THE NEXT CELTIC GREAT"... once he buys in, the Howard domino falls.

I guess CP33 wouldn't work out either.

This team as is, is not going far at all! We have the mini mid level....we will have to fill the bench with vet mins and the guys we are looking at have a history of being injury prone or are old.....

I welcome Danny's boldness.....while I don't fully understand or even support going all in for CP3 in what would surely be a plan to try and persuade him to stay......I'm ready for change.

I think there are a lot of C's fans who just are'nt willing to face reality......

Danny has wanted Chris Paul before the guy even entered the NBA.  I remember reading that he attempted to trade Paul Pierce to Portland for the draft pick that would have been Chris Paul... but Pierce supposedly prevented the trade from happening.

I have no doubt Danny will do what he can to bring in Chris Paul (and prevent him from becoming a Laker)... but I'm not sure we have the best offer.
