Celtics looking at Shannon Brown

Was over at Redsarmy and saw that on the front page they are saying that the Celtics are interested in Shannon Brown. Would love to see him in a Celtics uni. What do you think?

I doubt we could get him for anything less than the $3 million MLE, which we're probably going to want to spend on a big man, considering our utter lack of depth there.

Brown might be better than Delonte, but I'd prefer to stick with Delonte, considering we can probably get him for a minimum deal.

He will get more then the vet minimum which is all we could offer him unless we do the mini mle. No thanks.

Jordan Farmar, Sasha Vujachic, Eddie House, Sam Cassell, Brian Cardinal, Glen Davis as a rookie, etc....

None of those guys were in the rotation during the finals of the championship teams.

Brown averaged close to 14 mpg in the finals against the Celtics.

Im not saying this guy deserves 3mil but if we could get him for cheap I would rather have him than Marquis Daniels...in a heartbeat.

Isn't Shannon Brown essentially Nate Robinson, just a few inches taller? I think we've seen what a Nate type player could add to this team, and somehow, I think the management is looking for something different.

I sincerely hope they're retaining Delonte, rather than taking a significant risk for a player with a lot of flash, but not more. If (and it is a pretty big if) Delonte can stay healthy for say, 80% of the games, I don't see why he couldn't be a contender for 6th man of the year. Playing time behind Rondo and Allen should be ample.
