I don't think Indy gives up Hibbert since he's the only C on the roster.

Unless...JO returns to Indy?

I'm happy to take two young talents (Paul George and a PG) plus a 2012 1st.  3 first round picks next year, plus Paul George and JGreen and the current rooks would be pretty sweet.

If Rondo was traded to the Pacers then I would want Roy Hibbert as part of any deal

Celtics - Hibbert, Collison + Posey

Pacers - Rondo

How about that?

Who is going to run the point for Boston?  I hope you're not thinking Delonte West.  The Celtics need Chris Paul to pick up the slack for an aging core.  D

Collison would run the point.

I just read that Paul doesn't want to sign long term with us.

http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/story/_/id/7297944/new-orleans-hornets-chris-paul-sign-boston-celtics-dealt-source-says

KG didnt want to either...

Also, I would still trade for him.

a couple of rumours on realgm general board

Quote
Apparently the main idea of the 3-team deal is the following:

Hornets get Rondo/Granger
Celtics get Paul
Pacers get in sign and trade David West

Of course other pieces would be included as well

I'm hearing Collison, Hibbert, and Indy's 2013 1st rounder for Rondo and Big Baby. With Collison, Hibbert, and the pick being shipped off to NO for Chris Paul.

I don't think Indiana is willing to part with Granger.

They are looking to add pieces alongside him. Not trade him.
Larry Bird said during the series against the Bulls he doesn't feel Granger is a franchise player dont be surprised if u see him get traded

I wouldn't be crushed if Danny made that trade but I'd want a pick too.  Rondo is a 2-time all-star and much better than Collison and Hibbert.  I do think this could put the C's into contention for this year by shoring up the C position and giving us a capable PG and have some decent young pieces going forward with Green, Hibbert, Collison and JJJ.  No franchise players to build on for the future though

I think that comment spoke more about Larry's understanding that he needed to put a lot more top tier talent around Granger to build a true title contender ... than his willingness to part ways with him.

At least, that was my understanding of his comments at the time.

Good thing your not the GM.   Paul isn't the same guy who torched the league.  His knee injuries have cost him 3 PPG.   His assists are down slightly as are his 3P and FG.   This could mean he isn't getting the separation he once did.   I would not do any deal without a brutal physical.

I think its funny how Ainge goes straight to his boys to get the big moves done! I would too. First Mchale hooks him up with KG and now he is trying to enlist Bird to help him get Paul! I think it's great!

That being said DA is a true professional. He doesn't let anything come before winning. Friendship, sentimental stuff, etc... he shipped pout Perk and will do the same to Rondo. Unlike others on here I have no doubt he would ship Pierce out too. He's not BSing when he says, "Its all about 18!"

Go Celts!!!

Larry Bird has been an admirer of Jeff Green in the past.

Very complimentary about Green in an interview last summer during those Team USA tryouts.

EVERY ime we played CP3...Rondo smoked him...Rondo is so much better than him..rondo was also most often our #1 rebounder...because BBD would no do HIS job..as rebounder..Trade for a rebounder..bu we have the best pg in he league....just because doc  ( no rebounds ) rivers doesn't like rondo i bet.....i don' care for rivers actually...any coach who thinks rebounds are a waste is no a good coach..unless you shoot 100%..!
