well with somewhat of a understanding of the new cba if we make any moves it'll HAVE TO BE THRU TRADE which the trade rules are a bit more loose

My celtics 11-12 roster

Rondo
Allen
Paul
KG
O'neal
------------
Jeff Green
D.west
marquis
Triple J
Aaron Grey
Kyrlenko Fesenko
(Insert Amnesty Player here)
powe
Bradley
(Insert vet min center here)

amnesty options off the top of my head are ether brandon roy or rip hamilton (roy especially since i can see  him going to boston or chi if he's cut since heat has no mins for his position)but how about agent zero backing up rondo & playing some 2?

Guys, pleasa a little help. In hoopshype salary page 2011/12 6,8 mil to Rasheed Wallace still count against our cap.
http://hoopshype.com/salaries/boston.htm

If we amnesty Sheed and Green signs QO of 5,9 mil...we will be at 65,684mil. So if i understood new CBA, we can resign DWest and BBD for roughly 8,3 mil combine and still have a full MLE cause were not above 74mil. And then we can sign our rookies and round up the roster with vet.min guys.
Can mr.Roy and others tell me if my calculations are correct...

Those are good questions. I just had a look at hoopshype salaries, and they had both Shaq and 'Sheed on the books for this year.  If we assume that we get a clean slate on both those guys, then we are still at just over $70 million after signing Green, according to my calculations.  We'd have to sign Baby at under $4 million.

My guess is Delonte could be signed for the minimum.  Even though the numbers I got where a little higher than the ones you got, it looks to me like we could resign everybody and still have the full MLE.

I'm not sure this is right.  But, that would definitely be an improvement over what has been presumed to be the case.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Sheed was bought out.  The amount of his buyout counts against the cap, not what his salary would have been.  I assume hoopshype didn't adjust for that.

I prefer shamsports to hoopshype for looking at salary data.

This offseason is more about next offseason. With S&T still available to all teams for two years Magic won't be desperate to deal DH12 now.. I expect we will sign a couple Centers but no long term solution (Forget Chandler). Keep our solid bench guys like West & Green then  sprinkle in a gamble like (Tmac, Redd, Josh Howard, etc). And result in another deep playoff run by C's, better than last yr.

I say BBD is gone, perhaps with something in return via S&T but probably not anything great. Green can take his minutes and has better upside. We need a couple backup Centers, I like Fesenko for his youth and D. Perhaps Pryzbilla @ min considering his knees. We could still use reduced midlevel to gamble on a scorer like Mike Redd or TMAC or split it between Center & swingman roles.

Rondo/West
Allen/Redd
Pierce/Green
KG/Green
O'Neal/Fesenko/Pryzbilla

Toss in Bradley, Moore, Brown & Johnson as rookies and you've got a roster folks. We won't win the East but I'd take that team to battle in playoffs - they could bang with best and have a punchers chance at a title.

It's summer of 2012 where is gets fun and we can take chances to get stars, not middling players like Tyson Chandler, Jason Richardson or Deandre Jordan of this year.

My next prediction is that we trade Rondo for a cheap young asset next year to open up room for two max players and sign Dwight Howard & one of the PG's (CP3 or D. Williams). The draft picks and rookies we have now combined with the rondo haul would give us ammo to offer in S&T and cap room to absorb max salaries. Any team losing those guys will want young assets and picks and the flexibility that goes with them in this new financial world, not expensive old vets like Gasol or injury prone players like Bynum... I like this team now, I like them in the future too, b/c even without signing DH we have the roster flexibility to do something big. Danny played it smart.
