I have a man crush on LaMarcus Aldridge, dude is a beast and could have been one of the breakout guys of the season, if there was going to be one.

If there were a full season, do you think we would have the goods to get him? KG's expiring contract comes to mind.....there are pros and cons of course.....who do you think wins most?

This isn't something you'd do if there is a shorter season, I don't think any moves get made if there is a season at all IMO, it'll just be all about saving that cap space and as it stands that's all we'll have!

having a guy named LA in Boston doesn't sound pretty well does it?
Doc's gonna tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.

Yeah iknow, my username is Kendrick Perkins and my ranking is Jeff Green. Ironic huh?

The Celtics don't have the trade assets to land Aldridge.

Portland would want a hefty return for him. Maybe a trade package of Rondo and picks (Clips pick + another future first rounder) but I doubt even that would be attractive for Portland to pull the trigger on. Trading big for small is very risky.

My guess is that they would need at least a top ten player in return for Aldridge. It's possible that they might even view that as a sideways move -- that Aldridge is already at that level or will reach that level in the near future -- and demand a top five player (true upgrade) instead of just a top ten player (lateral move?).

  • Rondo = Good
no, especially not under the likely terms of the next CBA (we'll be over the tax threshold).
