Urban Meyer to Ohio State

It seems the rumors also indicate the Luke Fickell (current interim coach) will remain on the staff and that Meyer is going to go hard after Herbstreit and see if he will leave ESPN.

I live in Gainesville, FL and FWIW the local sports editor tweeted this morning that Meyer told him (via text) that the rumors were not true.

I could actually care less about college football, but figured i'd pass it along

Meyer isn't going to acknowledge anything until the school sets that press conference, which won't happen until after the Michigan game.

I sorta have a hard time believing a top coach would go to a program on probation, not to mention his health issues, and I have an even harder time believing the Herbstreet thing, but I suppose stranger things have happened. This college football season will definitely be remembered for some shockers

Lane Kiffin left Tennessee for Southern California.  You know a team on probation and Lane left a top 20 job to take it.

Ohio State is a top 5 job (arguably top 3).  When you are from Ohio and got your start at Ohio State, you take the job if offered, especially when you aren't coaching anywhere. 

I do agree the Herbsteit thing seems odd, but the rest of it does not.
