Ok the "Persecution" card has gots to stop, for the love of everything holy.  Please stop.

This is a football decision.  Do I want a guy who is arguably one of the most intelligent leaders to grace the NFL, who is known for having a very accurate and strong arm OR do I want a guy who cannot throw 2 passes in a row where both go relatively near the target?

Simple answer.

Also, nobody is "disrespecting" him.  He is getting replaced by Peyton Manning, you know the guy with a ring.  Players like Tebow, but he is not an NFL QB.

I know its the goto card for Christians, we are SOOOO persecuted in America.  Outside of every President has been Christian, there are more Christians in the US than any other religion, Christians are now marketed too by corporations, and you hear every moron say something foolish like "God wanted me to hit that last second shot."

Enough, Tebow is a back up at best, move on.  If I was Tebow I would be on my way to the CFL in hopes of finding a passing game.

Ummmmmmmmm.....dude. Read the thread. I'm not a Tebow fan. I was good naturedly poking fun at eja for his Tebowmania.

It was the right decision to bring in Manning. It might also be the right decision to keep Tebow and see where else the Broncos could use him. Let's face it Manning isn't young anymore and has had three neck operations.

So, why doesn't he get the same chance as any other back up?  Matt Flynn just got a 3 year, 26 million dollar contract with 10 million guaranteed based on one freakin' game.  Tebow took a 1-4 team and led them to the playoffs.  Where's the big opportunity that should have earned him?

I could make an argument for Mark Sanchez, but I don't feel like it. However, there are more options than just Tebow or Sanchez the Jets could explore. Many of those options might someday be good QBs, unlike Tebow or Sanchez.

I don't think passing a football is a talent you're born with therefore I think Tebow, with the amount of work he puts in, will become an adequate passer.  I don't think he'll have to run the option every play.  Combine this with his marketability, I don't think Jax or Cle can pass up on him.

Just because work is required does not mean everyone can do it. There are different innate potentials and extremely large differences in development. Good QBs have an amazing amount of coordination and I am quite skeptical that a guy in his mid 20s can fundamentally improve as Tebow needs to.

First, I see no reason to think he puts in any more work than most quarterbacks. Most of those guys put in ridiculous amounts of work to stay in throwing shape. Second, if he has been putting in so much work with so little payoff, why should anyone expect that all of a sudden this would fundamentally change?

Tebow's value is a mid round draft pick.  Isn't that all you really need to know about him as a QB and the perception of those that actually know football (you know other teams).
