I'm definitely going to boycott the NBA until they end this darned lock out.
???  What does that mean?  You are not going to go to games or watch games until they have games again?  ???

Exactly.
Then I agree...I will join your boycott.

IP...I am beyond anger...I am at disgust and hurt, but if someone injects a little humor in this, I am all for it.  I didn't take the comment to be provocative or incendiary, I thought it was funny.  You are obviously still in the angry stage, and I understand that.

The owners and players have aptly pointed out that this is NOT the fans game, it is theirs and they will fight it out on  their own terms.  I will undoubtedly follow the Celtics again, I tried to quit before, and couldn't.  I will have a hard time cheering for any current player again, though. If I am in New England during the season I will make every effort to see the.....Red Claws play.  If the season does start this year...or next year...I will most probably get NBAtv and continue chatting and following the blog and the online Celtics radio shows.

These people are all so egotistical and (this IS an intentional slur) dumb, that there is nothing left to do but laugh at them.  Their "principles" and "principals" are costing them dearly(both sides), and they can't even seem to see it. The fan and the ordinary NBA related working people do not appear to be  even a slight consideration to them.  I WILL  laugh at jokes at their expense...they have earned my laughter and derision.

This is the NBA's ultimate problem. If fans get indifferent and just don't care anymore, that $ billion in BRI they are fighting for will start to go down year by year.

Is there any Celtics Stuff Live programs anymore? Is there any Celtics related Chat Rooms? Why is it that there are only a few of the die-hard regulars in here posting?

One word answer: APATHY!!!!

There is no formal occupy the NBA office in New York effort. I would dearly love to see Stern replaced as the NBA commisioner as he is doing a lot of damage to his league but he may be just a hard-line owners puppet.

There really is little recourse for us diehard NBA fans to sit and stew in the messageboards.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

My anger is starting to go back to the players again. Mostly because I expect this level of greed and narcissism out of these owners, but not necessarily the players.

It might not be fair, but I can't help escape thinking that the NBA players should just be happy to make millions of dollars off of playing professional basketball. Again, that might not be fair, but it's how I feel.

Q, Nick Gelso has started the "CLNS" up again on Monday nights.  He also has several other on-line shows (other sports as well as Celtics).  Check out his site for the schedule.  Celtics Stuff Live has not started up yet this season.  If you decide to listen tonight, I'll see you in Nick's chat room.

I certainly don't have apathy about the lock out.  I hope to see the C's on the floor but it is looking more and more like that isn't going to happen.  I have decided that I won't be going to any live games if they have the season this year.   Granted it's a five hour drive to get to one for me.

This surprises me a bit.  My perception of the modern athlete is that they're usually (but not always) driven by money, and that almost by nature, they're narcissistic.  I'm surprised to hear another fan say they don't have those perceptions of NBA athletes at all.

I think both sides are driven by getting as much money as possible here, and there's more than a little ego on each side.

This time ego wins out over money, and good sense has flown out the window...it will take both sides years to make back what they have already lost (unless/or maybe especially if) they raise the prices!
