Exactly.  Which is why it would sell tickets for one or two games per city...but would not be sustainable for an actual season.

Ok, so if you didn’t like my And1 example, how about this much better example:

Al Bundy and his No Ma’am brethren have no way to entertain themselves during the baseball strike of ’94.  So they end up starting their own baseball league (sponsored by nudey bars).  It ends up being a success, but then when the nudey bars start making a lot of money of it, Al Bundy and the players strike.  So that league failed too. 

If Al Bundy can do it, I think the NBA players can too  ;)
