I'll go back to my initial thought -- that there is no team setup to take over this fantasy league in a few years time. No up and coming team that is a clear threat to become a Championship caliber team in the future.

I'm tempted to vote Dons, just because I believe that much in Derrick Rose.

ET:  How do Rose and Wall match up going forward?

Carmelo out-scores and out-rebounds both of them, and has a lot more athleticism, (and less injuries), surrounding him.

Miami is the most athletic, explosive, energetic, fast-breaking team in the TOTF running.

I like Carmelo a lot.  The concern I have is that he'll be 28 by next year's playoffs.  Is he young enough to be the centerpiece of a youth movement?
Is he enough of a mature leader to last through a young movement?

Given how he got himself to New York I don't see it honestly. Though it depends how you interpret his trade demand. I thought he was unwilling to rebuild in Denver and wanted to pick his next team.

You know who is an all nba player who is a mature leader? Al Horford.

How about New Jersey?

They would have a nice 1-2 punch with Kevin Durant (MVP candidate) and Kyrie Irving (All-Star?).

They could package Mike Conley and Luis Scola for a younger power forward. Replace Rip Hamilton with CJ Miles. Perkins is still only 26 years old. Gives them a physical presence in the paint on defense.

Rudy Fernandez as the backup two. Jordan Farmar takes over the backup PG minutes. Joel Anthony as a backup center. Replace Charlie V with someone useful. Acquire a backup SF.

That's a lot of moves that may or may not happen.

It's only one move really. Conley + Scola for a younger PF.

And then the question of how much potential Kyrie Irving has.

The rest is just bench players sliding into new roles.

The only reason to trade Conley is if you're convinced Irving will be an allstar.

Kanter will be the missing link for the Bullets.

They are so close and his development will push them over the top.

I've got a 3-team race for TOTF. Bullets/Celtics/Lakers are my 3 favs. I think there are other really good young squads..but I like symmetry and defense.

You like defense? You should read the above article about Eric Gordon and also SI's explanation about why Jrue Holiday is in their top 75 players in the NBA and Darren Collison sin't in the top 100:
