Great defensive coach. Getting LB would only enhance on the schemes. He is very good at getting the players where they need to be on defense.

Nevermind promoting one of Docs assistants. Its a no brainer just sign Brown quick.

I'm in agreement.

doc and larry brown together? it makes too much sense.

This would be awesome, I've always liked Larry Brown, and he would be a perfect fit for this team. (This should have it's own thread).

Thanks, FJR ... TP. ;)

I'm not sure what I think of this.  Brown has a great basketball mind, but he also has a tremendous ego, I think.  I think there's a good chance that he'd be as much of a distraction as a positive influence.

Yea true. It could make Doc work a little harder though. Besides Brown is a excellent coach. I can see no downside here.

NCAA and NBA champion coach…..can motivate and teach young players (see Jayhawks, first two years with Bobcats, etc.)……a no crap. disciplined coach who is especially tough on his point guards since (ask Marbury and Iverson), like Doc, he was one….Love it!!!

Just what Rondo needs. Doc and Brown can play "good cop"-bad cop" with Rondo to keep him in line.

Getting him at a discount, no less, for the opportunity to coach with Doc....No Brainer.

Lets not let egos get in the way of the Celtics putting the best product on the floor. I mean it is a buisness right?
Does Docs new big money extention mean that he is the new golden goose? We have a coaching vacanay. Is Brown the best choice for assistant? I believe he is by far the best option to replace Frank.

Yes, I agree. He may disagree with Doc on several points and try to coach over him, banking on his more extensive background experience. I'm not sure if he would be the best fit.
