So, if we get this puppy off the ground, it's going to be insane, huh?  26 rounds?

I guess we do it two rounds per day for like three weeks.

I just want to know who is going to invoke the spirit of the Raiders, and take a kicker in the first round?

26 rounds is A LOT

Yeah, it's pretty brutal.

One idea (which I've given exactly 12 seconds of thought):

We could have offense GMs and defense GMs, who pick strictly those positions.  Then, at the end of it, we randomly assign one offense to one defense.

I'm not sure I like that idea much, but it would shorten the draft.  My strong preference, though, would to just find some dedicated owners who can stick around through the slog of 26 rounds.

Thinking back at all the drafts I've partaken in, I think you're going to really struggle to get any amount of people to stay interested/on time in a 26 round draft, particularly when it comes to the later rounds where people are filling up their rosters.

Co-GM's. Everyone has a Co-GM. We can do it random assign, so maybe you get a partner you're not as familiar with.

Also, everyone gets a batman valentine.

Just had a money idea -

Rock N Jock basketball draft?

Draft like 12 players, 2 of them can be pro basketball players, 2  from other sports , 4 from the world of music, 4 from TV, etc.

Good idea.  For the pros, I think there should be a rule that they can't be an all-star, though.  Rock-n-Jock never really got superstars, and it also avoids the problem of the Lebron/Wade/Howard teams winning by default.

Good call. Always had a Danny Manning like level of success to them.

I'll throw one other idea out there:

Could be challenging, but a fun exercise none-the-less, NBA draft using current contracts and a salary cap (no rookie contracts).
