Enough grilling of the Thunder. Time to put the screws to one of OKC's trade partners from today.

PG Steve Nash / Beno Udrih
SG Mike Miller / Jason Terry
SF Gerald Wallace / Evan Turner / Gordon Hayward
PF Udonis Haslem / Al Harrington / Anthony Randolph
C  Joakim Noah / JJ Hickson

Any thought to starting Evan Turner?

Yes, I have thought about that (but at SG, I assume?). I wonder if he is ready for prime time. I must admit to not having seen much of Turner last year.

Ya, at SG.

I didn't watch all that much of him either last year. But when I did I noticed he seems to have been developing pretty well, and he also seems to be a pretty solid teammate - really trying to adapt his skillset to the needed role.

I can't remember who, but a fairly regular poster (maybe Nick?) is from Philly, they'd probably the best one to answer.

Well, I may have just completed a deal that makes this discussion a bit moot. Will have to see if there is a confirmation from the other side and the commissioner's office.

Some thoughts:

1.  Is Beno going to be Nash's backup?  Any thought to having Jet be his backup?  I think he can do it well and it will get one of your better players more minutes.

2.  What happened to Gerald as your 4 and a good shooter at the 3?  I liked that lineup.  I guess you can still go with that lineup at times, but you're currently missing that shooting 3.

I don't know if Raja Bell is a rotation-worthy player anymore, let alone a starter.

Atlanta Army Ants.

collection of good outside shooters (with decent to good defense) to stretch the floor for Rondo.

DMC. A headcase but a physical imposer.

And Anday Blatche, my inevitable demise. I like this team.

On the right team he could be I think.  I think he can be on this team.

I do think Jet can handle PG duties, yes. I envision Udrih getting at most 10 minutes a game. I consider him the insurance plan should Nash get injured.

The 3 in my old lineup was Ariza. Roundly criticized for his poor shooting.

With Wallace at SF, and Haslem at PF, I maintain the defensive intensity. Haslem's mid-range jumper might actually raise the offensive efficiency/production of the starting 5.

Oh yeah, I forgot.  He actually is a pretty bad shooter.  I too often think back to that Finals against us when he shot like 47% from 3 or something.  I'd like that kind of lineup with an actual good shooter there though.

I see the merits of that. I also wanted to preserve my "investment" in Wallace. He's capable of playing the 4, but I think extended minutes there would take a toll on him.

I was happy to select Gordon Hayward in the late rounds, as his shooting ability from the SF position is a welcome addition to the roster.

Agreed.  He has slipped significantly on both ends.  I don't think he can keep up, even in a Keith Bogans role.  I don't like Nick Young all that much as a backup, either.

Otherwise, Utah is a very strong team.  I like how they've remade themselves lately with some good trades.  It's been an interesting journey for the Jazz -- they made some great decisions, then some poor ones, and then some very good ones again, in my opinion.

Lucky,

I like how Baron fits the team. When he is on the big stage he plays great, i.e the playoffs. He will be a nice complement to Pau and Paul. Just this year here is a little film from the most hyped up game he got to play in. He finishes the Heat off by out playing both of Miami's superstars on both ends.

LOL it's sweet though. I loved watching Cleveland get to beat Miami. I still feel for those fans and hey I did just acquire the guy haha.
